When you have year-end portfolios to submit and you work into the lab the day before submission and it so quit you can hear a the rain on the roof falling. It funny cause when you go on facebook, you find the same students that will be submitting with you tomorrow are chillng and posting pictures on facebbok. But come tomorrow, they are falling over their feet, yealling and screaming at one another, from the network being to slow to the prints jamming, then everything and everyone is to blame, but them. Here is hoping we all learn and begin the new year with a new start!

Men always say we as woman are too complicated. We don't know what we want and can not make up our minds!
So we shove blame back and forth, we blame them and they blame us.
But, look it like this...
We as teens today start dating from a young age, looking for 'the one'.
And this is how a girl gets labelled by the boys she dates. They name calling and defining her based on the number of boys she's dated.
But once you stick it out with her, accept her with her inability to make up her mind our knows what she wants, she's surprise you by blossoming into the woman she is meant too be.
It takes the right guy to understand a man, cause remember love endorse all.

When you smell that ocean breeze and feel that summer sun on your skin, you know there is nothing better too do then hit the beach. Campus is backed from beach to bars and restaurants. It is one thing I love about Cape Town is its summer. I hope the weather is like this every Sunday, so I can continue to lounge around after a hard week under an umbrella and soak in the summer vibes!

Holiday Apartments

Have you ever noticed how hard it is too find that perfect holiday accomadation. That fits you like a pair a great shoes. You would think that living in Cape Town, that would narrow the search. But in fact it makes it that much more harder. You know were all then good places are and where it is that you wanna be, but the those clever people make ever place you look at like you dream house and you end up fighting with yourself, cause you now wanna stay at all of them and you jus can not make up your mind.
That is the problem i'm having now!!!!

Girls Night Out

They say that every girl gets her golden day. This is the day you get asked to be some lucky man's wife. And my brother final got the courage to make his girlfriend of 5 years his wife. So now I get to be a bridesmaid, so excited. But this post is about the tradition that comes with the union. The bridal shower where the bride get showered with gifts for their new home together. And everyone sits around eating cake giving advise and playing games all based in accordance to the theme. And the bachelorette, the last single girl night, the bride spend with her girls before she is wed. Although most brides are running away from traditions, one tradition I love about weddings is the fact that the whole day gets to be all about you the 'BRIDE'.

Friday Blues

Having to wake up early in the morning to book a ticket at Air Namibia. So tired and i still have a full day of working and research. It's crunch time the following 4 weeks, till the exams. One up side is that my holiday will be more then 2 months long. Loving it!!!!

New look

Since I'm feeling like a nice person, for some what odd reason, I decided to give my blog a new look and feel. Took Sasha-lee...form cute, pink and girly to new and improved, black and white and classy. Normally when you grow you adapt your surroundings to fit in with the new change and my blog is part of my outlook on the world. I give you Sasha-lee Ave.
 

BED REST

When you lay in one place for so long that you toss and turn and then you find yourself debating on which side to lay next. This is how my week went all of last week, I'm so glad to be getting back to school, never missed school work so much in my life, that for sure.

Birthday

A birthday is that special day where the world can revolve around you.
The older you get the more you understand how precise those years were that you just wished away.
But the younger you are the more exciting getting older seems, simply because of all the 'adult' things that come with growing older.
Working your way through the teens was at times not easy at all but no young adult feels more accomplished in life then when they turn the big 21...
I must say I feel good to know that I'm one year closer to that accomplishment.
Growing up is hard and comes with a lot of challenges but to reap those rewards at the end is what must be your drive in life.
So with that being said, I wish myself a Happy Birthday and hope I have a good day, cause spending it with my family will be hard!

 

Creativity

They say that woman tend too be more creative them men.... We have a eye for detail.
Well I recently had a assignment to create a possible magazine cover for a magazine of my choice and along side it, a fitted advert to accompany it.
I choose to go with a travel magazine, as it has always been one of my passions too travel the world and see the 7 wonders of the world.
And what better way too do it, then to have a great guide to your disposal.

Future

We have this assignment at school. We have too give a pitch for a theme that lines up with Change is Inevitable...
Now Racking my brain to come up with a good idea for our theme.
It got me thinking about our (we a the human race) future!
Where is it that we are heading, cause in the olden days life was more simple, and easy, I mean to our parents R1 was a lot, in comparison with today, where the value of a R1 is equivalent to that of a 10c.
Technology and media has become apart of our day lives in ways we cannot even begin to explain or understand. We have become dependable on modern day lives gadgets. We are like starving lions, we just want more, more is never enough.We want it bigger, better and faster.

Back 2 SCHOOL...

That feeling of going back too school.
Picking out your hairstyle and perfect little outfit too much, the winter season. But at the same time bear a resemblance too the new INNER you that you have seem too found over the Winter Break.
The excitement of seeing everyone, catching up on gossip you missed out. And lasting counting down the hours till class starts.
Sadly once the excitement blows over within the fist few minutes, Reality hits you, the amount of students failing and the one's who dropped out, which you will never see any, followed by a similar speech from all your lectures, about how this term will define your studies.

House Hunting

A new house is always a great thing and while my mom has taken it upon herself too leave a massive house renovation till the exact time of our June/July holiday.
I can find me comfort and sanity in my parents new investment.
In Namibia the perfect why to escape the loads of sand and stemming heat in the summer.
Our hottest tourist destination on the cost is Swakopmund and the place to be in December and New Years.
And now I have my little escape home in Swakop...

Have you ever heard that people say, they want to get lost in nature!

 Well Namibia is the perfect example of the saying, the endless sand dunes and amazing sunrise in the morning, captures the essence of true BEAUTY!
A picture tells a thousand words and this screams of calmness and serenity, to take of a load and just get lost in Nature. Taking a hike up the canyon and being awarded with the most perfect sun set.
It make the hard work, the sweat and tears, the constant feeling of wanting to give up, cause you just cannot see yourself making it too the top.
So proud of myself, I paused though and made it too the top.
The sense of accomplishment that you feel when you make it too the top and reap in the rewards.

The lifestyle of teens today...
The funny thing about how we life as teens and young adults today.
The post is inspired be an old baby picture i found of myself. And it got me to thinking, do you often stop and take a look around. The why kids are being raised, how in tune they are with the latest trends, fashion, technology and gadgets. We as teens live by the rule of the image the media portrays the right. Despite what our means are and if it is affordable to us or not, we continue to  carry on. As we feel you must own it, it order for me to be social accepted.
As a child i use to build cakes in the sand and could make a toy to play with out of anything. But then i look at my little sister and what she feels she needs to be happy as a child. The latest barbie doll , the mere fact that all her clothes have to be brand names. It is just mind blowing to me.
This is the role that media plays in our lives, without, us even knowing it!!!

Food...
Today is a food test, as woman we were taught that the way to a man heart is through his stomach.
This is a tradition that woman have out grow simply because it represented that woman needed to stand in the kitchen and take care of the children.  
In the 21st century that we live in , woman have jobs and hire staff to do things around the house.
As a proud 21st century young lady, I love to cook.
Baking and cooking is the best the form of stress relieve and it helps to let those creative juices flow!

Décor...
Now we all dream of one day owing our own home and for most lady and some guys, that lets your imagination run wild as to how you will decorate it.
This is a stressful mission for most, as this is not just a couch that you will sit on but rather a piece that will one day tell a story. The history since it was first bought, as a single girl, sleepover with the girls, movie night with a crush. It could be the place that once crush asks you to marry him, taking it along to your new house, late night feedings with the new born. It is mind blowing how much history the simple items in our homes contain.

So for every person in these shoes of buying a new house, put a little effort  into how it looks and let the history begin!

What a day it was...

The beauty is indescribable,
The calmness, as you sit on top of the little hill, looking over Cape Town in the far distance,
The landscape that at times look like a perfectly painted pictures,
The stream running in the background,
        AND of course, me taken every advantage to pose for a picture...

Its a must see, for a very relaxing day, go hiking and get a good workout, picnic in the gardens or

What does Love mean to us?

Why we people write about LOVE they talk about the union between a man and a woman, is that the only know love to mankind?

We should do a scientific analysis of the concept  LOVE....
Because what we think and feel love is, can be very misleading, for such a very developed generations, it is mind blowing that no one has even found a explain to what love is!
